Gaza 2025: Humanitarian Situation After 13 Months of War

Most housing stock in Gaza has suffered damage, and large parts of the population continue to move between temporary shelters, damaged apartments, and improvised camps. Winterization, tent supplies, and repair kits became urgent priorities.

Hospitals and clinics continue to operate under extreme pressure, with shortages of fuel, medicines, staff, and functioning equipment. Infectious disease risk, malnutrition, and trauma care needs all rose while access remained constrained.

Access to safe drinking water remains far below normal needs. Food deliveries are inconsistent, cold chains are fragile, and local markets cannot absorb the shock of prolonged war, so hunger remains a central risk across the strip.

Children have lost months of schooling, education facilities have been damaged or repurposed, and psychosocial support is far below need. For families, the crisis is now not only about survival but also about the collapse of daily life and future prospects.
