FrontWatch is a real-time conflict monitoring platform that aggregates publicly available information (open-source intelligence) about global security events. The Service provides interactive maps, event timelines, news feeds, analytical tools, community forums, and related features.

Important: The information provided on FrontWatch is for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute professional military, security, political, or legal advice. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information displayed.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account and use the Service. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

3.2 Account Responsibility

6.3 Restrictions

Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
Use our trademarks, logos, or branding without authorization.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any software used in the Service.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

7.1 Free and Premium Access

Certain features of the Service may be available only to users who purchase a premium subscription. Subscription plans, pricing, and features are described on the Service and may change at any time.

7.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed through third-party payment providers (currently Stripe). By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the payment provider's terms and conditions.

7.3 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
Upon cancellation, you retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period.
Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws. Under EU law, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services, unless the service has been fully performed with your prior express consent and acknowledgment.

7.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify subscription prices. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days in advance of any price changes. Continued use after the price change takes effect constitutes acceptance.

We do not warrant that:

The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
The information provided will be accurate, reliable, or complete.
Any defects will be corrected.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or EUR 100, whichever is greater.

14. Termination

14.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if:

We are required to do so by law.
We discontinue the Service or any part thereof.

14.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will remain in effect.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

15.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) does not apply.

15.2 Jurisdiction

For disputes arising from or relating to these Terms:

If you are a consumer within the EU, you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence or in the courts of Coburg, Germany.
If you are a business user, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Coburg, Germany.

15.3 Online Dispute Resolution

The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution (ODR) platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are neither obligated nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision will be replaced with a valid provision that most closely reflects the original intent.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and FrontWatch regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

18. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by FrontWatch.
